An external hard disk drive is a type of hard disk drive which is externally connected to a computer. And mine is full! It has 500 GB, that is giga bytes, and when I bought it last year, I never thought I would fill it
up! I did!So I don't have a DVD burner on my main computer, so I am going to make CD's of my PSD's (PhotoShop Document) and take them off the drive? I am flabbergasted that it is full, but I have been working like mad doing layouts, QP's, clusters and I save everything. Gosh but that is gonna take a while! I know puters are supposed to save time, but the filing and all is a pain!
Do you all save PSD? I like to take the ones I am going to print and resize to 8x8 and add journalling.
Would love to hear some of your solutions!

Oh Anne, I'm sorry to break it to you, but an EHD is the best solution and YOU, my dear, need to get a bigger one! (Either that or fire some of your zillion bosses...sssshhhhhh - don't tell Charlie I said that!)
My terrabyte EHD (that's 1000 GB) is gonna go fast, I know it.
I have a terrabyte internal drive(purchased recently) just to back up my system..hubby reckons it will take only less than a month to fill..hehe..but Anne what you doing backing up on disk too..is great and the way to go! golly we can sometimes download over 500gb in one night..:0
oh forgot to add yes..always saving psd of stuff i make,previews etc
I have started putting some of my stuff onto disk. I am always cleaning...out with the old in with the new.
A while back I burned backups - but CDs and DVDs don't last forever. I get nervous sometimes about which technology will actually preserve the digtal data... it isn't tangible, so when it is gone, it is gone.
I do save my documents in PSD as well. I actually nane them WIP - (for work in progress). I find I am always going back and tweaking something - or fixing a typo. Once you save it flat, you are pretty much stuck with it. We learned in school (artistically speaking) that for every artist, a piece is always evolving - I have found this to be so true in Photoshop.

OK...I need a terrabyte EHD. My 500GB EHD is almost full as well.
I save the .psd and the 600x600 web "preview". Just FYI, I have a 100 G EHD and a 300 G EHD and my computer has 2 drives that holds 500 G. I try to periodically purge freebies that I know I'll never use. Hope this helps!
