Audition for a CT! ♥

My CT commitments had dwindled with my homeschool adventure. I dropped almost all of them. Then the kids started being so darn independant, that I have more free time than I need!
I have applied for a couple teams, but this one is fun! Designs by Helly, well I had never been over to Scrap Book Bytes (SBB) and went and looked at Helly's designs. Cute and fun, and a kit named Gabriel (my youngest boy's name) and it is an all boy kit. Helly is sending kits to those who apply and will pick the winner...I sent her one of my babbling applications for Creative Team Member. She sent me the kit Gabriel and I loved it...I think I might have gone overboard and used everything in the kit! ha ha

old dog learning new tricks!!

One of the best parts of the Art Journal Caravan to me is the people on the journey with it! I can go thru the gallery of the fellow journeyers and gasp at the talent. One of the ladies Hollygtn had this layout and photo treatment that grabbed me!

I took this picture, one of the very first of my kids all together, taken by a dear friend named Liza!

And changed it into this layout!!! I love love it. I useD Ruby's kit, 8-field and as soon as we know where she is selling, I will let you know!

Mom first then teacher...

this is my Monday. I didn't yell, I didn't scream, I was calm looking into the eyes of my child who made me a mother.
All the other kids on the block are out of school for some reason or another...perhaps a hang nail of administration? The work ethic of learning is a fight this morning. The memory of 4 hour school days goes out the window.
I am so glad I prayed this morning, and that this too will pass.

Bha ha ha....lol, yep...I threw myself out to give back to the place that has supported my habit the most! DST-the hub of the digital scrapbook community!
I am now official a moderator. It is fun, I learn so much about the digi world, and wow the talent of the people is tremendous. I didn't even know half the things DST had in their forum. This is one busy place and now that the server problems are all fixed (fingers crossed, knock on wood) it is just even more filled with people.
So come on over, or come back if you were frustrated with the server and down times the last few months.

My dear friend is retiring!

I am sad in a way...because you see, Alamama is one of the most creative talented people I know. Her mind just is full of beautiful ideas. I can sit in her living room and see the loving touches she adds to make it lovely. I watched her paint backdrops for plays that brought life to the stage. Her designing was a way for everyone else to see her amazing talent. She has 2 awesome children she homeschools, a busy hubby, plays in a band (she is a rocker) and is active in her walk with Jesus Christ. Designing takes lots of time. Time is something that is a precious commodity.
Please, go now and have her go out in style...buy her store, half off! You will love everything she has made! Its at Scrap Matters, til the 15th of this month.

FREE February Calendar Template!!

Week 2 of the caravan had an inspiration for a weekly calendar.
...but that left me "wanting"! ha ha, so I journalled the whole month and scribbled and played. What a blast and fun way to remember the month. There is an airplane for Tony going to Arizona, our trip to the train museum, the few days of sun we had, pictures to go with the sermons on Sunday, me walking and the cow of acceptance! lolI write a lot, so I needed an extra flap! ha ha
I will print out and put in my art journal!
The rain remained for most of the month, so that was my main theme!
How fun this will be to go back and read at the end of the year!
I uploaded to Scrap Book Graphics, and wow, blown away at the comments.
I didn't think it was something anyone else would enjoy.
One lady asked where she could get the template, so I figured hey, make one! lol
I needed one for February anyways...
