Fantasy layouts are really not my thing!
Okay, I like real things, I'm a meat and potatoes kinda girl. Down home, heartland, flag waving American girl. I have put wings on one of my daughters in a layout once...weirded me out! I have never been into Sci-Fi. I have seen exactly one Star Trek episode, Trouble with Tribbles, and thought they had to be filming under my bed. I have watched the first Star Wars, and was frozen all they way thru it...all that dark black sky and high moving a/c in the theater in Napa, California. Okay, but I love Netta and her designs at Creative Victorian Designs. Her team is hilarious on top of it, and we have Jenn on it, who is the master of Fantasy pages! Master! So Netta did a series of Fantasy Realms, here are a few of the series:
So I played and played and Netta helped me with perspective and all. I got a giggle, but here it is, Diva Maker!

The chickens have been delayed!
Just a quick update, the chickens can't make it here til Sunday or Monday...a collective bummed out sigh.
But I do have some fun pics of us getting our garden together:

I am very organized and I am not ashamed of this, mocked but not ashamed. ha ha...this is where the garden is going. That grass has to come out, Abby and Eric are standing where the beans and cucumbers will go. Gabriel is where the watermelons shall reside and the frog Anna is showing the other watermelon (we love watermelon) and the T's are for Tomatoes.
The kids are work-a-holics, they really thrive on this stuff:

The girls kinda helped the soil get holes in it, breaking up the grass roots...(and staying busy, telling me what they were doing) until the boys got some good chunks up. Then the girls took those and transplanted those ones in the bare spots from the pool last year! We are country folks now!

I was amazed at these two boys, they worked and worked! They are like machines!

Our awesome across the street neighbor, Mr. V- volunteered his rototiller! He came and rototilled twice! That was awesome!
We started our beans, cucs, and watermelon from seed, the toms, peppers, and basil we bought plants! It was fun to see them sprout and so quickly.

we are getting chickens! tomorrow!
It has been a slow and steady process to get here, but it is here. When we first made the decision to homeschool, one of the things I wanted to do, was to get chickens. I kinda wanted to do the eggs, incubator, etc...but was petrified! What to do with the things that come out of the eggs? uhm the chicks? Lisa, (in the church) her sister has a ton of hens, and she is giving us 4 layers!
A few months back, I was on my way to Wal-Mart, and there on the side of the road was a 6 foot crate kinda looking thing....that in my mind looked like a chicken coop skeleton. My poor hubby, he took the truck and Eric and they hauled this thing off the side of the road.
Then on the way to a curriculum sale for books, the kids and I noticed a big FREE sign. They had wood, and shopping carts and other fun things! I once again called Tony...he is getting into it now!! So he went and got what he needed.
The boys got to work, helping, watching and fetching for Dad! Tony was really into it! He found an old stereo cabinet for the nesting box and was excited, cause the circles look so cool!
This is starting to look like a chicken coop!
I love this man, he is exhausted, doing 2 sermons a week, working crazy hours at Target and finds time to laugh at me while making a coop!

See the wheel from the shopping cart? This makes the coop movable..there is no bottom. The chickens scratch and eat the grass, then you move it, clean that area..and the bermuda grows back..well that is the plan. Our pool from last year, the grass came back...so this is gotta work!
Happy chicken coop building! The chickens (4) Huey, Dewey, Louie and Chewy come tomorrow. Tony did some fixing on the top, and it is ready to go, with hinges and all. I will have pics of the chickens and the final coop soon!

Senger Revival
Oh the revival was awesome, we saw visitors, salvation, healing, and our awesome core of folks come EVERY night! I tell you I could just do back flips, okay, I can't really do back flips...I wanted to share a few layouts of the week!

Having Pastor John Foley and his awesome wife sing for us, oh my goodness. I can not tell you how honored and wonderful this was. Pastor John Foley's father was my husbands very first Pastor, and the Foley family will forever have a special place in our hearts. To top it off, Sophie is down right hilarious, and I stalk her daily so she will be my friend...and yesterday was her birthday!!! woo hoo
See that smiling little girl? Her mom had rushed her to the clinic, because she had a fever, nasty green boogers and horrible cough the doc told her it was pneumonia. We prayed for her, and that is her, all better!!
Having the Senger's here for our first (of many to come) really stirred our people, our children and us! I love this family! Please pray for them in Lake Havisu City and all that God is going to do for them!
They are having a big ol' Children's Carnival in a few weeks, and your prayers are appreciated! I was honored to make a flyer for them!

I love the picture of Lisa with her son, Leland and Joseph reading the scripture. Wonderful lady and seeing her life blessed is amazing to watch.

Dawn Inskip-I love this woman's talent!
I, seriously, am amazed at each kit. Dawn hand draws most of her kits, so you aren't going to find the elements somewhere else. Pickle Berry Pop is the place to pick it up! The colors just go together! I open the kits and just stare. This one Summer Breeze was no exception:
I love all summer beachy feel kits. We love the beach! One of the highlights of being in California!
Here is a layout of my hubby and boys as the sun is setting at Thanksgiving last year:

On the CT front, I am once again on the prowl! lol dropping applications to clutterable designers. I let go of dear Sarah Barber and wrote Ruby to give my goodbyes and she retired on me! I have found that the altered art and deviant scrap has to come from without kits..I do them different.
Being a CT helps me to scrap my memories and our family silly times! I enjoy the ladies on the teams and am looking for a few good teams to join!

Tony loves to search the beach for awesome rocks, shells or sea glass...it was so beautiful!
I have actually been busy with lots of beach layouts lately. Netta, my dear friend over a Creative Victorian has this absolutely beautiful kit called Beach Side out also:
I went nuts and made a ton of brags, stacked pages, prizes for the challenges over at Creative Victorian, and these two layouts:
The first was for a challenge at SBG, for the ladies of the chat:
This one was for Ripal over at Scrapper's Online (Body of ME challenge). Heart was the part we had to use:
